The peaceful existence of Jacques and his small family is shattered the day Daniel, a childhood friend, turns up unexpectedly and moves into the yard with his caravan. Daniel tells him he hasn't got long to live and before he dies he wants to fulfil his childhood dream.

Chantale panics when she realises that Jacques hasn't returned home to sleep, and, fearing that he has cheated on her, searches his apartment. As for Jacques, he is gently getting over his hangover. Still not getting on with Sonia, Daniel continues with his strategy of indifference. Keeping far away from the house, he spends his time in the company of Sonia's ex...
