The film maker, Gilles Porte has asked his children aged 3 and 6, who can't read or write, to do a transparent drawing of themselves on a sheet of glass that is bigger than they are. The children draw themselves as they like, without the involvement of an adult. Once they've been drawn, the figures come to life thanks to the work of around fifteen animators, mostly from the Ecole des Gobelins (Gobelins School of Image). By criss-crossing more than twenty or so countries across the five continents, Gilles Porte has thus created a gallery of 80 portraits.
