L'HORLOGER DE SAINT-PAULIn the district of Saint-Paul in Lyon, a watchmaker finds out that his son is wanted by the police for murder. The investigation is lead by Superintendant Guibord, who strikes up a friendship with the watchmaker and includes him in the search. The watchmaker realises that his son is nothing more than a familiar stranger to him. He hardly knows him. When the police finally locate the couple, Descombes shows up as well at the prison. The father is devastated after his son's trial where he is sentenced to 20 years in prison.
