The silver star on a green background is one of the badges of South Africa's largest African independent church, the Zionist Christian Church, based in Moria, north of Johannesburg. People from all over South Africa belong to the ZCC and pilgrimage to Moria at Easter. The ZCC forbids the use of alcohol, drugs, tobacco and pork. Violence and sexual promiscuity are not tolerated by the church. The church was founded in 1910 by Engenas Lekganyane, a farm worker from the Limpopo Province.
